There are no words to describe how ecstatic and honored I was when my friend and fellow photographer Katy Moses asked me to do her maternity images. Katy is one of this people who are just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. The minute you meet her you cannot help but fall in love with her because she is a wonderfully warm and caring person; she is honestly one of a kind. The minute she reached out to me I immediately had a vision of how I wanted to capture my beautiful friend and thankfully Katy was putty in my hands allowing me to allow my creative juices take control (I love that!).

I got to spend a beautiful afternoon with sweet baby “C” and her fantastic parents. Now let me tell you something about this cutie pootie, she is full of energy. I don’t think she stopped the whole time we were together. It was so much fun watching her explore her world. She is going to be a spit fire when she is older and the world needs more girls like that.

Thank you again to her parents for allowing me to hang out, I had a blast! Here is a little sneak peek to tide you over.

Well it is official, I AM IN LOVE!

Yep, I have found a new love with my camera and my vision. In my attempt to mix some creative fun into my busy work life I have found a new part of myself that I didn’t know existed. I love drama, emotion, movement and painting with light. Taking a picture is so much more than taking a picture for me; it is about creating something that makes you want to look longer; it is about creating ART.

Earlier this week I tagged along with some other photography friends and we took pictures that had to do with dance/movement. At first I wasn’t sure it was my thing and I mainly went to hang out with my new shutter sisters (they know who they are!). Well I was wrong and I am thrilled I went. Going gave me an opportunity to spread my creative wings and that is a great gift.

Here some images I took of the amazing and fabulous Joshua Vang. He is a beautiful dancer and it was a huge honor to photograph him in his element. I want to give a huge thanks to both him for his inspiration & brilliance and to my friend Autumn for arranging our photo fun!
